About YMCA Bitola
YMCA Bitola is non-profit, apolitical, nongovernmental, nonreligious and inclusive youth association which aims to provide more opportunities and actively to interact with the youth in our local community.
YMCA Bitola and YMCA Macedonia is part of the YMCA family spread in more than 130 countries worldwide.
Even YMCA Bitola was formed as informal group before, YMCA Bitola was established in May 2002. Since the second half of 2004 when YMCA Bitola has opened own programme centre YMCA Bitola seriously has been working on programmes and projects mainly focused on the youth.
Fields that we are focused on: civic community, culture and art, social and educational activities, sports, human rights, environment.
We are accomplishing our activities through different organizational forms: trainings, seminars, workshops, camps, festivals, international cooperation.
We enable our youth in its better inclusiveness in the society, raising the values among our youth and valuable spending of their free time basically through working and participating in our programmes and projects.

Membership
The "Youth Association YMCA Bitola" is an association of young people. Because of that even in the name of the organization we have put it the words "Youth Association", which mean an association in which most of the members are young people up to 30 years old (in the case of YMCA Bitola goes even more - all the members are younger than 30 years).
That means that we are:

- Leaded from young people;
- Focused towards the youth.
Strategies
- Our priority group are the young people. We see youth as our main target group, human recourse and development potential;
- One of our main principles is equal possibilities for all. Our organization and work is open for everyone, disregarding the sex, age, cultural and confessional background;
- Empowering all, especially young people and women to take increased responsibilities and assume leadership at all levels and working towards an equitable society;
- We are offering young people possibilities for healthy development of spirit, mind and body through different group and personal activities involving creative work, intellectual challenges and getting new skills and knowledge;
- Through our work we are building awareness of the cultural differences, we are stressing the need for tolerant behaviour and conciseness. The different cultures are common treasure of the community;
- We are helping young people to develop their individual interests and skills and become active members of the community and responsible citizens;
- We are building bridges of cooperation and friendships among young people as our small contribution for the world peace and friendship among nations, but also young people seen as citizens of the world.
